Palin Wins in 2012

I think it’s a strong possibility. I’m not happy about it, because I think she’s proof stupidity exists. All the same, this is a discussion. What factors will contribute to Palin winning in 2012? What factors will hinder her chances? Discuss.

I think Sarah Palin’s support of Arizona’s new immigration law will affect her chances by hindering even though it happened in April this year but people will still remember it. This is because the new law requires that police question people and find out whether they are legal or illegal immigrants. I believe that this law is racist because the cops might judge people because of their skin color and think, “oh that man is mexican, so he must be an illegal immigrant.”

I disagree with Elizabeth that her stance on the immigration issure would hamper her chances. Last I heard, most Americans were in favor of Arizona’s immigration policy, and if anything, I think she could win over democrats and liberals who are tired of the Democrats’ leniency toward illegal aliens. This is especially true now that the economy is in recession and legal residents don’t want illegal workers reaping the benefits that they don’t support with taxes while occupying jobs that could go to legal American workers.

However, I do agree with you that she doesn’t have much of a chance (although unfortunately that chance still exists). The American public has lost respect for her as a politician, and even as an intelligent human being. She’s going to have to make some major improvements to restore her reputation. I doubt I’d vote for her.

However, I do not think she would win. People don’t respect her as a politician, or even as an intelligent human being, and I don’t blame them.
