Fall looks to have finally taken hold here in Texas, bringing with it the leaves dropping from trees, squirrels harvesting acorns, cooler temperatures, and rainier days. All these things I enjoy, as it means the year is coming to its close and it’s a good time to make an accounting of my life and what I’ve done. It’s a peaceful, reflective time. The change in the weather accentuates the turning of pages in my life and attunes me to what’s changed and what’s stayed the same.
Summer and Winter, those I endure. Spring I like, but I tend to sneeze a lot during that time. Autumn, however, is where I get to cool off, to chill out, to let my mind relax and appreciate the events of the year. Autumn is the thinking season for me, and I love a good think.
