CCTV Contest Site

I coach Academic Decathlon, so when I saw this contest on the CCTV satellite channel, I just had to watch. It was very interesting to me to see how the Chinese created a contest around learning English. I was fascinated to see the parallels between it and my own American academic competitions.

Would I want to go there to coach and train students for the competition? Not full time, but... well... :-) Any time kids have a chance to learn something in a fun way, it's a great thing. Any way a person can be involved with the education of those kids - and to create the fun opportunities for them to learn - is to be part of that great thing.

If you get a chance to see the competition, if even for only a few minutes, I know you'll find it very entertaining.
