Civil War Stuff! Yay!

1861-1862 Battles 13.7 MB

1863 Battles 10.4 MB

1864-18652 Battles and beyond... 7.3 MB

I took a long road trip this summer to view the battlefields of the Civil War, and these are my reflections on the experiences I had. They're definitely biased with a Southern flavor, but that's just who I am. I'll be later adding one more PDF file of the non-Civil War fun we had on the 20-day, 5000-mile trip we took together as a family.

Beijing Air Pollution and the Olympics

The IOC recently said they'd have to delay the endurance events at next year's Olympics in Beijing because the air there is of such poor quality.

I have to say, it really is that bad there. I mean, I'd still go back to Beijing to see the gardens there and eat at that Xinjiang restaurant again and get one of those pork sandwiches, but I'm also aware that breathing there is the equivalent of a three-pack-a-day habit or something like that. And while the PRC hopes to clean things up there in time for the Olympics, the sad fact is that when the Olympics are over, the pollution is going to come right back with a vengeance. To my friends in Beijing, I hope you enjoy the break in the clouds of smog you'll get in 2008, but I'm afraid you'll be back to the same old smoke when the games end.

No Words portraits and romantic illustrations.

What's there to say?

I got words and pictures.

I got a message board.

Like I said, what's there to say?
